| Minimum Eligibility Marks |
|
| For SC/ST candidates a pass in the qualifying examination will suffice and the minimum marks are the same as the passing minimum for HSC and diploma exams of the State of Tamil Nadu. |

| Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have obtained the following minimum marks: |

- a minimum of 60% in Mathematics.
- a minimum of 60% in Physics and Chemistry put together.

| Eligibility for NRI / Minority / Lapsed quota seats |

| A pass in HSC (academic) / CBSE / Pre-degree / Plus 2 level of equivalent with an average 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry in single appearance. Candidates who passed their qualifying examination through instant / supplemental / compartmental examination will not be eligible for admission. |

| Candidates from other states irrespective of their community, will be considered only as OC (other community) for the purpose of considering the minimum eligibility marks. |
