AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING (A.M.Ae.S.I)
ABOUT THE COURSE

Examination is conducted by the Aeronautical Society of India. A.M.Ae.S.I is approved by the A.I.C.T.E (All India Council for Technical Education) and is equivalent to a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

The Government of India recognizes a pass in the A.M.Ae.S.I examination at Section A and B levels for the purpose of recruitment to executive posts and commissioned ranks in the services in the appropriate field under the Central Government. Candidates with A.M.Ae.S.I qualification are eligible to apply for any job in Aeronautics where B.E. is prescribed as the minimum eligibility qualification for the post. They are also eligible to pursue Post Graduate courses. As there is great dearth of qualified aircraft engineers in India as well as abroad, candidates who successfully complete this course will be able to obtain lucrative jobs in aviation firms.

FACILITIES
Our labs include Aircraft Electricity Labs, Engines Lab (Jet, Piston, I.C), Instruments lab includes various testing equipment for calibration of various aircraft instruments, Dead Weight testers, Aircraft Instrument panels, Vacuum chambers, ATC-810 Flight simulator. Our aircraft engines include a wide variety of Jet engines such as Rolls Royce Avon Mark 100 Turbo Jet, De Haviland Goblin Mark 3 Turbo jet engine, Pratt & Whitney JT 3D Turbo Fan engine. Other Aircraft engines of Tigermoth, Cessna 152, Elle 5, Gypsy Queen are available for instruction and practical exercises. These engines and our practical workshop give an opportunity to the student to study the various theories of propulsion and flight characteristics of an aircraft and give a leading edge over the others. The reference books, Periodicals, Aviation magazines and text books in our library keep the student abreast with the knowledge in the aviation field.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Subjects coming under Section A are Applied Mathematics, Fluids Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Engineering Thermodynamics, Electrical Engineering, Microprocessors, Software Engineering and Introduction to Aeronautics. Section B is divided into three – Avionics stream, Aeromechanical stream and Maintenance and Production (Electrical) stream. Candidates have to choose from any one of these streams and continue their career path.
SPECIAL TRAINING
Before the completion of the course, a student will be given practical training in our Aero Workshop to enable him/her to qualify for the Diploma in Aeronautical Technology (D.Ae.Tech)/ Diploma. The practical training will be an added advantage for the student when he/she face interviews conducted by various aviation industries. The Practical Training will cover the following subjects Airframe Construction, Aircraft Electricity, Aircraft Instruments, Aircraft Maintenance ‘A’ & ‘C’, Aircraft Systems (Hydraulic and Pneumatic etc.)
